When it comes to sport and haute couture, there’s no event on the South African event calendar to rival the Sun Met. Known as Africa’s Richest Race Day,
the event brings together the who’s who of South Africa on a day that combines glamour, world-class entertainment and the grandeur of horse racing!

Here are five fun ways to experience #SunMet 2020…

1.  An entertainment extravaganza

Since Sun International took over as the headline sponsor in 2017, the Sun Met has built a reputation for delivering spectacular entertainment on and off the track, with top local and international acts confirmed for the 2020 edition.

General access attendees will enjoy an all-access pass to live entertainment; uninterrupted horse racing, a range eateries, food trucks and pop-up bars at the Sun Village , the prestigious Sun Met fashion show and the Sun Met after party.

Party until the early hours of Sunday morning to sexy sets from Black Coffee, Themba (formerly Euphonik), Da Capo, Courtnaé Paul, Holly Rey and Basel Grey!

Cost: R200 per person

2. Go all-out for glam!

On 1 February 2020, Kenilworth Racecourse will transform into Cape Town’s hottest catwalk, as fashionistas and celebrities walk the red carpet in top creations inspired by the theme: African Luxury: Visionaries.

A showcase of cutting-edge creations, The Sun Met fashion show will feature top design firm Imprint ZA and Sun Met 2020 Visionary Palesa Mokubung.

Add more style to Africa’s Richest Race Day by upgrading your Sun Met experience at the Circa Trackside Deck – an upmarket Bedouin marquee that includes full-service catering,  a complimentary bar service, private tote facilities, live entertainment and fantastic views of the track.
