Barrier Draw For
The Sun Met 2020 Confirmed
The Sun Met 2019 winner, Rainbow Bridge.
The barrier draw for The Sun Met 2020 took place at Sun International’s GrandWest Casino and Entertainment Centre in Cape Town on 21 February.
The Barrier Draw is a random draw to allocate starting stalls for each horse. If you will be placing a bet , it's a good idea to pay attention to the draw, as many believe it can have a significant impact on the outcome of the race.
Many pundits argue that horses that land in the inside stalls will be in the best position to win. That being said, it's not guaranteed. Many factors can affect the outcome of the race, including the starting position, the condition of the track and the size of the field.
A final field of 14 horses will line up for the R3 million Grade 1 Sun Met to be run at weight-for-age over 2000m on 1 February at Kenilworth. Below are the results of the draw held at Sun International’s GrandWest in Cape Town.
