The Sun Met 2020

On 1 February 2020, the horses and celebrities shined brightly at Kenilworth Racecourse for The Sun Met. One World and jockey MJ Byleveld won the 158th running of Africa’s Richest Race, outgunning 2019 winner Rainbow Bridge, who was ridden by internationally acclaimed jockey Ryan Moore.

Off the track, award-winning media personality Bonang Matheba, actress Nandi Mbatha, and Miss South Africa 2019 Sasha-Lee Olivier were among the celebrities that dazzled on the red carpet, while Holly Rae, Courtnae Paul, Black Coffee, Themba and Da Capo – under the banner Africa Is Not A Jungle – thrilled guests at the after party.
